StrataDrill   HIGH PERFORMANCE SHALE INHIBITOR

DESCRIPTION
StrataDrill is a amine and surfactant based inhibitor designed to stabilize reactive shales and clays while drilling with water based drilling fluids. It inhibits clay swelling and hydration of cuttings preventing bit balling and reducing torque and drag. Additions of StrataDrill to water based systems minimizes viscosity increases due the incorporation of reactive solids reducing dilution rates. It is non-toxic and bio-degradable and can be used in offshore drilling environments.

ADVANTAGES
Prevents Bit Balling Reduces Dilution Rates
Compatible with most Water Based Systems Reduces Torque and Drag
Non-Toxic and Bio-Degradeable Temperature Stable to 400F

TREATMENT
StrataDrill should be added to the system before drilling ino the troublesome shale or hydratable clay section. An initial treatment of 4 to 10 lb/bbl StrataDrill to the entire mud system can be added directly into the suction pit. StrataDrill is consumed as the formation is drilled and a proper concentration must be maintained. For optimum results, monitor penetration rates, rheology, dilution, and solids control and adjust tourly treatments as necessary.
