ECOSFT is a one sack, dry mixture composed of air-blown asphalt dispersants, emulsifiers and hydrated lime utilized to free differentially stuck pipe. Quickly mixed on location, it lays down an impermeable oil-base wallcake and removes the water-base wallcake by dehydration and shrinkage. It also lubricates the hole.

After freeing stuck pipe, ECOSFT can easily be emulsified into any water-base system, improving lubricity and filtrate control properties. ECOSFT works to free differentially stuck pipe by removing the water-based filter cake and oil wetting the walls of the hole.

ECOSFT when used with or without diesel helps prevent wash out and stabilized troublesome shale. Once a differentially stuck pipe is freed it is a good idea to continue circulating ECOSFT since it will aid in lubricating the hole and forming a thinner filter cake.
