EcoMul  is an oxidized tall oil fatty acid primary emulsifier for invert oil drilling muds. It is used in diesel, mineral and synthetic oil base fluids. It works in high temperature environments and contributes to fluid loss control.

EcoMul  is added to invert oil drilling muds to provide an oil-in-water emulsion. It emulsifies water and helps oil wet solids. It provides high temperature emulsion and rheological stability for drilling, spotting, packer and workover fluids.

EcoMul systems are prepared by mixing the proper amount of electrolytes, EcoMul and lime to form a tight emulsion.

Standard System: EcoMul is maintained in concentrations of 7 - 10 lb/bbl (20 - 28.5 kgs/m³ ).

Lite System: EcoMul is maintained in concentrations of 3 - 5 lbs/bbl (8.5 - 14 kgs/m³).

As the temperature increases more EcoMul is required.

Normal storage and handling precautions for industrial chemicals should be taken.
